Lighting – Tissue Culture Chamber

Standard lighting for the Tissue Culture Chamber MTC80 is energy efficient fluorescent lamps. The lamps are separated from the growth area by a transparent barrier which minimizes heat transfer to the growing cultures. Lamp and ballast heat are controlled and managed by the refrigeration system. Lighting control provides three light levels and is monitored by a quantum light meter and displayed in micromoles/m²/s on the controller’s status screen for user readout.

 

Airflow – Tissue Culture Chamber

Airflow is distributed uniformly upward from each air shelf which helps to ensure a consistent temperature zone over each shelf Tissue Culture Chamber. Filtered and adjustable fresh air intake and exhaust openings enable researchers to exchange air to the chamber in a controlled manner up to 20ft3/min (0.57m3/min.) in Tissue Culture Chamber.

Plant Growth Room MTPS

Plant Growth Room MTPS provides a multi-tier chamber based on a modular platform and is available in increments of 72 ft2 (6.6 m2). This Plant Growth Room configuration is often used for research involving C3 and similar low light, short plants. This makes the Plant Growth Room ideal for use in mass-screening projects and for sizeable plant propagation programs. Pressurized and perforated side-wall plenums deliver air across each of three independently lit tiers integrated into fixed shelving banks on either side of a center aisle way.

Product Overview/Applications

Meditech’s Plant Growth Room MTPS provides a multi-tier chamber based on a modular platform and available in increments of 72ft2 (6.6m2). This Plant Growth Room configuration is often used for research involving C3 and similar low light, short plants. This makes the Plant Growth Room ideal for use in mass screening projects and for sizeable plant propagation programs. Pressurized and perforated side-wall plenums deliver air across each of three independently lit tiers integrated into fixed shelving banks on either side of a center aisle way.

Lighting – Plant Growth Room

Our standard lighting package for the Plant Growth Room MTPS generates low to moderate level light intensity and incorporates both T8 fluorescent and halogen incandescent lamps for a broad based light spectrum ideally suited for Plant Growth Room . Lamp canopies are secured to stationary plant shelves within the chamber while an option is provided for lamp canopies to be cantilevered from the wall to allow for rolling plant carts that can roll into place between the canopies of Plant Growth Room . Multiple lighting levels can be programmed with the CMP6050 control system while higher light intensities are available as an option for Plant Growth Room.

Airflow – Plant Growth Room

Uniform airflow is introduced to the Plant Growth Room through precisely manufactured perforated sidewall plenums with a center return to the conditioning coil. The resultant horizontal airflow accommodates the use of multiple plant trays without concern for impeding airflow. Filtered and adjustable fresh air intake and exhaust openings enable researchers to manage exchange air to the Plant Growth Room .

Plant Growth Room – Refrigeration

Cooling for the Plant Growth Room MTPS series is provided by a self-contained water-cooled condensing unit with hot gas bypass for continuous compressor operation. An electronic modulating valve provides tight temperature control while ensuring quiet operation in Plant Growth Room. Pressure transducers are included for monitoring the status of the refrigeration system in Plant Growth Room. Alternative refrigeration methods are available depending on site specific and/or user defined requirements. Consult the factory for heat rejection information and other refrigeration options for Plant Growth Room.

Experiment Protection – Plant Growth Room

User programmable “set and forget” alarms track the chamber’s operation versus user-defined set points. This allows for exceptionally accurate monitoring without the need for adjustment every time the set point is redefined. Backup “high/ low” alarms provide a further level of protection while visual and audible notification is provided when any alarm is activated. Contacts for connection to a building management system are also included plant growth room .
